District Administrator Jochen Hagt was visibly delighted to see so many young, motivated and excited faces at the replacement appointment on September 1. Many of them have just successfully completed their training and are now starting their first assignment as newly qualified inspectors in the Oberbergisch region.

After the new police officers were sworn in, District Administrator Jochen Hagt and Head of Department Sascha Himmel urged them to pay particular attention to personal safety. Especially here in rural Oberberg, the distances are often long and reinforcements are not immediately available. This requires a certain amount of tact and sensitivity in assessing a situation on a daily basis. Every colleague should come home safe and sound.
